Awakening

Eyes wide open
Seemingly for the first time
Surroundings seem to have a different look
A certain glow
Like a new born child
Inquisitive
Feeling like life starts anew
An opportunity to finally see
Clearly
Without restraints or filters
Nor obstructions
Everything in my view
Is good
Not because it is
Because I choose to see it that way
